I keep printing toys for the kids, and the kids keep breaking them. Is there a reasonably priced resin that's reasonably durable? I saw an impressive video of a tough FormLabs resin that's $175 , which is crazy... even if I did know it would work with this printer. There's some resins in the $35-$50 range that are advertised as "not brittle," or, "ABS-like" which doesn't instill a ton of confidence in me that it will be durable... does anyone have any experience with a tougher resin?

More adventures in printing! So new work area is all setup but it's still way too cold to print, best I can get atm is 70F and it takes a lot of work to get it that high. That's in an open air area with a 1500W and 800W(it's what I had laying around). I've got a hydroponic enclosure coming tomorrow that I'm hoping will help heavily reduce the volume air I have heat this way and keep my work space a little cleaner. I'm also working on building the heater linked several times on this group but as a few have mentioned I'm looking at adding thermal protection to the device via a thermal fuse so that's stalled atm till I can figure out how to electric more better.

In the vein of "how was I supposed to know that", posts, I have just been doing some research and came across the advice to cure the resin if it still feels sticky. (Sounds obvious once you know, right)

My question is...what do you use for curing? I've seen posts which talk about leaving it in water and sunlight for 15-20 minutes, other search results talk about buying a UV curing tank.

Is there a point where the water curing doesn't cut it?

So my Photon should be in today.
I'm probably getting a Fauxton, and if I wanted to swap to an original Photon mainboard, where should I get one?
I assume it can be done, because I know I saw something about swapping for an "updated" mainboard, but when I search, I'm not finding a whole lot about getting an original and swapping it in. But I could be missing it.

My main issue is not having access to community tools with the new main board which is why I'm asking before I ever get it in. XD

Having seen several posts showing fume cupboards for people's photons I felt inspired. Or more precisely I thought "Hold my beer". It's taken about three days, and I've got to plumb the radiator in this afternoon but... I give you my Photons own personal bedroom ?
