What could be causing this? I moved my printer to an other room re leveled the build plate put on a print and looks like the few layers above the base layers have lifted up but is only happening on the nearest side towards me, I put exposure upto one second longer but still doing it. The picture is the second attempt but still doing it. Maybe room is alot colder?

Well after several successful prints over the past month I suddenly get this... only thing I changed was curing time from 10s to 8s on my Elegoo Standard Grey. Also I'm starting to notice that the build plate is slightly loose along the x-y axis it's still perfectly level but it twists. The screws are extremely tight, so what to do about this?!?

For replacing the LCD does buying a more expensive one effect quality? Wondering since there's a big price difference between other printers LCD and anycubics $70 one. He tests 99% Isopropyl alcohol, Simple Green, Mr Clean, and Mean Green cleaners in an ultrasonic cleaner. Interestingly, IPA comes out as the worst, the others are closely matched. Mean Green comes out as slightly better. All are a lot less expensive than IPA, and don't pose an explosion or fire hazard.

Question for you more experienced folks. How would you orient this model if going for maximum size? https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-aztec-sun-stone-85007 翻譯年糕

Edit: Do you have experience with AnyCubic ECO macaroon blue resin?

I’ve been working with AnyCubic’s plant based blue resin on my Photon S. (Going to switch to grey) Been slicing with ChiTuBox.

I feel like I’m getting closer to the settings needed to produce high quality/definition minis, but I’m definitely not done yet.

I found a spreadsheet docs.google.com/…/1crvzMnt_8NJXAsABinoIhcOjE8l3h7s0L8…/edit…
This suggests I should be using 0.05mm layers, 12sec exposure with 5secs off, 70sec bottom exposure with 8 bottom layers.

I didn’t care for the results of those settings since I could see the layers and a lot of details were washed out.

I played with a number of settings and settled on this recently.

0.02mm layers height, 12 second exposure with 2 second delay, 70 second bottom exposure, 10 bottom layers

Had to reduce the delay so my print times weren’t so long. But I also discovered more support failures with the longer delay for some reason.

By the way, I’ve really only been at this about a month and I’ve had some good success but I want it to be even better. I also manually add supports to all of my prints, never use auto, and that increased my number of successful prints dramatically.

Note, my completed models required a lot of cleanup with an exacto blade to increase details. Each unit has at least 45mins under the blade and file.

Any suggestions that might help?

Looking for something to use to filter the IPA used for cleaning new parts. I let the IPA sit in the sun to solidify the resin but there is still some really fine particulate matter in it.

Would a coffee filter be good? That is what I am going to try next but any suggestions would be great.

Calling on the Photon S gods here for help!!! ?

I'm about to blow up. I have been trying for the better part of the day to get a successful print of the Photon S resin exposure finder from thingiverse but I keep having the same problem. The print i clearly of and thinner on one side than the other. At first I thought it might be my level that was off. I have done several new levels. Both the normal paper one and the Flit Read one but the result is the same.

It's ALWAYS on the same side (the one facing the back of the printer) of the build plate that it's thinner.

Besides the several new attempts to level the buildplate I have also tried rotating it to see if that made any difference, I have updated to the latest firmware but all with the same result.

A screen test looks normal.

I really hope some of you out there might have some input before I lose my mind in frustration.
I have printed several DnD minis before without issue. 翻譯年糕
