Quick update on the 1/12 Caterham model I am making. The Photon has become invaluable! I have pretty much finished the entirely-3d-printed engine, which will be 'wired and plumbed' once in the chassis. Exhaust system was a bugger to draw up, but printed and fit well.

Other parts in this update include floor mats, dash board and steering wheel. I'll speak about the roll bar in a separate post, as I want to mention supports...

First proper print on my resin printer and this is the result, the supports were almost falling off in the anycubic wash and cure. Supports and model created by my friend and mentor Mark Wardle . Thank you Mark for all your support

Used Meshmixer to make sure it’s a printable solid. ✅
Used Chitubox to hollow and support ✅
Used Photon Validator to prevent islands ✅
But when I sliced with photon workshop I see these triangles that shouldn’t be there. Always have perfect prints, never had this happen to me before.
Thoughts?
maybe corrupt file?

First batch of minis done from a order. Thank god for a hot ultrasonic with ajax making them supports easy. Printed with elegoo standard grey at 0.02 layers at 8 seconds on the OG photon. Pretty happy with them. Dont look particularly over or underexposed

Well I now understand the importance of hollowing larger models. Tried printing a file from patron that was larger than most, and it went great, until the resin ran out lol. I’ve looked up some videos on it and I already have meshmixer, but I’m curious about generating infill or peaks inside the model that may need supports. Does the photon slicer or does chitubox have the ability to add supports internally if necessary?

Hello!

I'd love to share the latest easy to print designs I sculpted on Zbrush printed on my Anycubic photon and also the original renders so you can compare and see how well a STL translate into a 3D print, preserving all the details.

The models are mostly supportless and the big ooze is pre-supported, they were printed in 0,03 mm layer height, printed in two different sizes. The bigger ones were primed in order to highlight details. You can also check all the models together in a smaller size for tabletop games.

Seriously, this machine is awesome! I'm considering upgrade to the Anycubic photon S soon. If you have any question related please let me know!
