Our response to the Coronavirus - Free content https://drive.google.com/drive/u/3/folders/1Gxi7ENkSbrjOZMVoznUSCv2bLbhGgiVx This is an initiative from Archvillain Games to make these trying times less hard for everyone. Today at Archvillain Games we had some devastating news. Today, one of our artists was admitted into the hospital with a serious case of COVID-19. We will not be disclosing the artist’s name as we value all privacy. We were devastated to hear this and as the virus is closing in towards all corners of the globe, we need to stay safe and healthy. We need to stay inside, spend time with our loved ones, play a game, paint a mini and count our blessings. Archvillain Games and our team intends to give an extra incentive to the community to stay indoors and we can only do that by sharing some of our work with it for FREE. Thus we are giving away some of the content that we made in March. In the link below, find a free stl of our werewolf along with the monthly 5e module for those of you that play tabletop roleplaying games. Feel free to share the link around, it will be there for around 30 days. Our hopes and wishes is for everyone to remain safe and healthy. We will get through this. Share the love. Keep the spirits up. P.S. This initiative was backed by the massive majority of our patrons at www.patreon.com/archvillaingames as expressed on a poll, we thank our amazing patrons for this. I primered it to show more clearly the problem I have, see the post below.

原文網址 Pico Elgin
2020-03-23 07:33:31

What is happening here? Some supports don't form on the base - it's absolutely clean. Then, about 1/3rd the way up, they appear. I'm inclined to think it is a Chitubox problem of not forming them, because there isn't a trace of them on the base. What is the opinion of our group? Thanks.

Matthew Overbeck
2020-03-23 09:53:13

Mine did that the other day as well. Also using chitubox but then again dozens of others did not. No idea what made that one special. Sorry the only thing I can give you is you are not alone.

Pico Elgin
2020-03-23 17:39:54

I have had another failure; with the back half of the model; so I sliced it a second time in Chitubox and will report here in 6 hours if the print is successful. Sooner if it fails.

I cannot get my prints to stick to the bed. I've leveled the bed four different times, but it never works. I've done it twice with paper how Anycubic shows, and twice with the Flint Read method.

Is there something special I need to do to get the print to stick?

Liam Newman
2020-03-23 07:26:51

What's your bottom layer exposure time?

Jesse Ryan Chadwick
2020-03-23 07:26:54

I had to up my base exposure time to get anything to stick to mine

Robin MacNeil
2020-03-23 07:27:47

My exposure times were way too low. Followed this chart and have had no problems since: https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j......

Troy Davidson
2020-03-23 07:29:06

I set my bottom layer exposure time to 90 seconds. I read that increasing it can help it stick.

Hank Perry
2020-03-23 07:31:08

I followed the recommendation for the resin for the settings and that worked. Slowed the prints down a ton, but works flawlessly now,

John Chrapkowski
2020-03-23 07:34:31

Mixed the resin good first right? And what’s the ambient temp?

Daniel Weatherhead
2020-03-23 08:07:46

The three steps I took, levelling one of them but up your exposure time to 80s for the bottom layers and update your firmware.

Troy Davidson
2020-03-23 09:07:04

So the prints are sticking to the plastic in the well and not the build plate.

Joel Isfeld
2020-03-23 09:14:19

If you are using photon workshop as a slicer check the first few layers. It was deleting my first layers for some reason.

Matthew W. Johnson
2020-03-23 09:33:58

Anyone else lube the FEP to aide in layer release?

Stefan Giudici
2020-03-23 12:38:08

Matthew W. Johnson no need, fep is a flouoropolymer, very slick on its own.

Juaco Amado
2020-03-23 22:07:48

Matthew W. Johnson is the FEP tight enough? Have you recently changed it?

原文網址 Daniel Weatherhead
2020-03-23 06:28:45

Quick question for you all. How do you dispose of your resin waste as in tissues, gloves anything like that. I’m guessing you have a separate bin and then take that bin to a recycling centre to the chemical part?

翻譯年糕

Fred Bey
2020-03-23 06:46:31

I have a plastic box any resin contaminated stuff goes into. When it's about halfway full, and it's sunny, it gets set outside. Then I mix it up a bit so the sun hits everything for a while. Then I just toss it in the normal trash.

Daniel Weatherhead
2020-03-23 06:49:51

Fred Bey that’s a good idea, think I’ll try that.

Stefan Giudici
2020-03-23 06:55:19

I take everything to the hazmat disposal site once a year or so

Jeremy Babcock

That’s great to bring up the tissues. Been wondering what everyone does with theres ?‍♂️

Phez Darryn Stanmore
2020-03-23 16:07:56

Lots of sun light, turning it every now and then like tilling a field crop. Once it's all set I bag it and put it in the bin

Ben Fairbank
2020-03-23 21:29:42

I set it under my cure light for a day and throw it away.

Russell Beer
2020-03-23 22:49:49

Burn them!

Christopher Fugate
2020-03-24 02:43:55

The stuff is harmless when cured. Just set your tissues and the like out in the sun, let it cure, then toss in trash.

These are photos of the same coronadice. Since Changing the FEP earlier this week, I haven't gotten any successful prints. I've switched to this model as it's small and demonstrates the problem. I either get supports and no object on the build plate or distortions like these.

I have releveled. The problem seems related to changing the FEP. As for temperature, my house hasn't changed, but I'm sure warmer would be better for the resin.

This is a Photon S. Anycubic ECO Resin. Prusa supports at 100%. Photon Workshop slicer (latest version).

photon or photon s? is it worth the 200 dollar difference?

翻譯年糕

Tobias Fendt
2020-03-23 06:14:53

Photon! Photon S is made from Plastic rather than Metal, got a smaller printvolume but got some Linear rails. But you can get a Linear rail Kit for the Photon on ebay for under 100 bucks so buy that and Save 100 bucks and get the higher quality maschine (edit: The S got a slightly bigger printvolume, I mixed that up)

Keith O'Donnell
2020-03-23 06:15:08

From what I’ve gathered, not worth it.

Jacob Venteicher
2020-03-23 06:16:06

cool ill just do a photon, thats what i have now but it broke so im looking for a new one so at least ill have an extra print bed and vat

Lorenzo Di Sante
2020-03-23 06:16:07

Faster prints, higher build volume and more stable Z axis are the main differences. Then make your choice

Richard Webb
2020-03-23 06:16:42

Photon S has a larger print volume and a better UV light source

Jonathan Greenberg
2020-03-23 06:20:13

i have the s and i like it

Óttar Freyr Einarsson
2020-03-23 06:20:16

Yeah you need to stop giving advice. The photon s has a stronger LED and dual rail plus a slightly larger print area. The plastic casing I really wouldn't care because I really don't plan on dropping the thing.

Kevin Piatz
2020-03-23 06:20:47

Óttar Freyr Einarsson that's exactly what I was about to type.

Jee Kim
2020-03-23 06:23:55

I’m thinking I would buy 2 photons.... ?

Tobias Fendt
2020-03-23 06:24:46

Óttar Freyr Einarsson well sorry that I mixed that up but If I pay for something I prefer to have a better build quality and I do get that with the standard photon. And I never had the problem with the Screen being to "weak" so I don´t see the point of going for the S

Óttar Freyr Einarsson
2020-03-23 06:25:55

The led under the screen is stronger. Which means shorter exposure times = faster prints

Marko Knezevic
2020-03-23 06:26:34

Photon S has larger buid volume, prints faster, metal chases doesnt matter much, S is sturdy enough.

Kevin Piatz
2020-03-23 06:29:17

If it's a budget issue, or if you already have an OG Photon then great get another one, otherwise the Photon S wins every time.

Derek Riddle
2020-03-23 06:29:45

Dual Z axis makes a huge different in print quality. I have had the Mars (with single Z axis) and now have 2 Photon S's. It really does make a difference.

Wayne Rogers
2020-03-23 06:30:05

I have an S. It’s a good machine. Stronger UV light. Better rails. The plastic case is Not an issue.

The main problem with the S is that they changed out the motherboard so it’s not an opensource Chitu board.

Marko Knezevic
2020-03-23 06:32:58

Wayne Rogers yeah but I doubt he can find original Photon with Chituboard. He will get Fauxton and Photon S > Fauxton.

Wayne Rogers
2020-03-23 06:36:06

True. The original Chitu Photon is gone.

In that case, I think the S is the better machine. Except of course an Epax. That’s the best entry level resin printer right now

George Bulte
2020-03-23 06:37:22

? What happened here? Left the group because of wrong advice?

Kevin Piatz
2020-03-23 06:43:38

George Bulte looks that way, poor guy. It must be tough being so emo.

George Bulte
2020-03-23 06:44:08

Kevin Piatz Jealousy?

Kevin Piatz
2020-03-23 06:44:30

George Bulte not really sure what you mean.

George Bulte
2020-03-23 06:45:19

Kevin Piatz Made the wrong decision? with buying a normal Photon?

George Bulte
2020-03-23 06:46:41

BTW, I would advice to buy a Phrozen Sonic mini.

Kevin Piatz
2020-03-23 06:46:46

Maybe he did, I don't know. I own three Photon S printers.

Jacob Venteicher
2020-03-23 06:47:57

i mean itll just print a little taller right the actual size of the bed doesnt change?

Jacob Venteicher
2020-03-23 06:49:50

ive been printing for a while mine just broke and i need to get a new one

Jason Pedersen
2020-03-23 06:53:26

Upgrade firmware on new Photon or S (if it hasn't been done already from factory) and Chitubox will work fine. They fixed this months ago.

Marko Knezevic
2020-03-23 07:15:43

Jacob Venteicher yeah, thats right

John Chrapkowski
2020-03-23 07:30:28

Derek Riddle agreed. Big difference.

Matt Farmer
2020-03-23 08:41:46

I have a very lightly used Photon S $300 shipped

Paul Oliveira
2020-03-23 10:01:11

Don't they use the same lcd screen I'm curious because the one on my photon went out

Wayne Rogers
2020-03-23 10:03:12

same

Chris Wildy
2020-03-23 10:30:25

For a little more than a Photon S, I have a Photon and Sonic Mini. What are the exposure times per layer are you guys using for the Photon S at .05? My Photon is about 7-9 seconds, the Sonic Mini is about 2.4-2.6 seconds.

Derek Riddle
2020-03-23 10:43:03

Chris Wildy really depends on the resin you’re using...

Nipuna Gunarathne
2020-03-23 11:24:48

Same, but different. It has a different connector, but there's an adapter

Paul Oliveira
2020-03-23 11:30:27

Nipuna Gunarathne even the newer photons?

John Chrapkowski
2020-03-23 12:39:57

Chris Wildy 4-6 typically for me.

Stormidis Lordios
2020-03-23 16:47:22

for 200usd no, get the plain photon, but if the difference is less than 100usd like when I got my S it had a difference of 50usd then get the S

Francois Lozach
2020-03-23 20:21:13

I got the photon s for less than 300 so yes it’s clearly good

Alexander Bayerdorffer
2020-03-23 21:32:48

It's faster and less z wobble that you would probably spend to upgrade anyways

Fred Dabbas
2020-03-24 01:33:56

what about the difference of the time settings compared to the traditional one. I didn't get this rate, does someone get it
