Depends on the resin, Elegoo Skin and Grey seem to do good for me at 10s and the Elegoo Clear Green and Red are 12s. Using Prusa for orientation and 70% supports and Chitubox to slice

So I've spent about an half an hour searching around and it seems the general consensus is as long as you clear coat things they are generally safe for casual wear. So if I put a nice clear coat on these would they be safe to wear as necklaces? I made this last night in Fusion 360 and printed it, all my friends thought it was hilarious and wanted one of their own. Just a little something to commemorate surviving the great "Toilet Paper Crisis of 2020" without having to resort to hoarding. From my experience by the time these things are cleaned and set out in the sun for a couple of days, I can't detect any scent of resin. I would think with the clear coat to seal anything inside that they would be generally safe to wear. They're probably not going to be worn against the skin or for extended periods of time either. I have some protectaclear that's designed for metal jewelry which is a pretty tough clear coat. I might try that stuff. I wouldn't try this with something like a ring or earrings that are going to have closer contact with the skin.

Ernest Sandridge Ill I saw Aaron's post and his keychains roll. Looked on thingiverse and didn't see an stl so I made these in fusion 360. I'm by no means an expert in Fusion 360 but this was a pretty simple design. A couple of circles and a couple of tangential lines, then extrude and there's a toilet paper roll.

Aaron Strome nice. Those look even better than mine. They have pleats and more texture and everything. Like I said I'm a complete new but 3D modeling so I thought I was doing pretty good to get a nice looking roll as I did haha

so i need to replace the plexiglass that was between the lcd and the light it mesures just around 4mm i have some plexiglass at home that is like 5mm is that going to be a problem of do i need to get custom plexiglass

Evening all
So, I am new to DLP printing, but have been using FDM for a couple of years.

Have just done my first print on the Photon after the obligatory sample file thats included.
Sliced on Chitubox. Apart from the support marks, and the fact that I broke part of the sword when taking the supports off, I dont think it is too bad for a first print is it?

So seeing as how we’re all well equipped with UV lights....is it enough to disinfect objects? Or do we absolutely need UVC ?

These arent really UV, just right on the edge. You need far UV (UV-C) to kill viruses and that stuff is NASTY

I did the search but found the wavelengths overlap at 400nm. Our lights cover that wavelength but maybe I’m not understanding something about spectrums.

Even uvc doesn't kill on contact, it take a few second or more. There used to be UVC light source for HVAC systems, and was found they were useless because the air velocity is too fast past the lights.

White lithium grease is my preference. Doesn’t take much a tube will outlast the machine.

Ok. I'm having a serious issue here. I printed my initial test print on the photonS however every other print I have attempted I can't get bed adhesion. I've looked at a lot of FAQs and have tried them all. Wtf is the issue. The last print had 10s exposure time, bed exposure at 100s, and several different models. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Robert Clauff I used a video that really helped, which said, you should be able to pull it out with a bit of force, but if you try to push it back it bends. So yours sounds a tiny bit too tight.

keep upping your bottom exposure. Mine were sticking until i went to something like 130 or 150
