Hello, what can be causing this saggynes at the bottom.

Model is printed as solid. This isn't shown on the photo but it's a moon and i want all the surface elements. If i print hollow, i would need a cut drian holes and they mess with the surface texture.

Hello!

So brand new to printing with resin spend a lot of time using FDM
I have a photon zero :)

I'm struggling with my elegoo translucent resin. I have a couple issue.

1: the models are slightly yellow when I get them off the printer. I know yellowing is cause by over curing I reduced it down to 7s .04 layer. Do I need to go lower?

2: the models are STUCK to the bed. Like it takes a lot of force to get them off... they are support free models from fat dragon games but I never had this issue with my gray resin and I used the same file...

3: how to cure them to stop yellowing.... I cured using a uv light for 3 min... jot terrible but still yellow....but also came off the bed yellow.

I do have to use acetone to clean models :( mean green did not work well for me so I moved to acetone.

Not really experiencing any issues with my elegoo gray resin at this time...

Hi everyone. I have a question about Photon File Validator. I have been using auto-support in the Prusa Slicer as I was appalled by what was happening in auto-support in Chitubox! On smaller items there was the odd stray single pixel island but nothing to really worry about. But now I am printing something larger and the amount of islands has naturally increased. I add supports in Prusa, slice in Chitubox and send the exported .photon file to the validator. But now there are more islands and the message "blah blah but nothing can be done." appears.

I return to Chitubox and go to the layers delineated in the validator and for the life of me, I cannot see any islands. I go up a layer, and up a layer but still none appear. I'm beginning to doubt my sanity.

So is it OK to just print with these "islands" in the piece for which "nothing could be done" in the validator?

Obviously, once outputted as a .photon for the validator, I can't send it back into the Prusa Slicer...

Thank you *so much* to anyone who can shed some light on this. It's been driving me spare. I have gone through several YouTube videos but my work is somewhat different from the models used to teach with.

Help me out, PLEASE.
I have searched the group for answers but nothing helped.
Bed is level, FEP is changed, ran the calibration model and adjusted the exposure accordingly. This is the same model printed with the same file in the same resin that I have printed, now this and every other print fails in the same manner, does not matter where on the build plate I put it.
Help me Anycubic Hive mind, you’re my only hope.

brand new, always check FEP for crap left behind before each print, only had it for a few weeks - flawless so far. Now all of a sudden prints are super glitchy and wonky. I haven't updated software or firmware. The exposure test is wrong, too - it is scrolled "up" and has two white lines.

Anything I can do here before replacing the screen?

Here's the latest on my workbench. This is my Fallout Nuka Cola machine printed on my "classic" Photon. Elgoo gray, .05 layers, 9 s normal exposure.

I've finished most the painting (just need to touch up the bottoms of the Nuka Cola bottles). This is the last mock-up for the base. I may still change some little detail or other, but I think this is pretty close to what I had in mind.

The machine is a re-mix 3D print file I found on Thingiverse. I made a fair number of changes to it, but still, I wouldn't claim it as an "original" design. I added the coin-op control details, modified the cooler box and door, and hollowed the entire thing to make it easier to print.

The bottles are my own original design, though. I tried to use another file that I found online, but it was created to print cos-play prop bottles, and after futzing around with that, it was just easier to make my own bottle design that I knew would print reliably.

The catus is from a Pegasus Models set of injection molded cactus plants. It helps balance the composition and adds a southwest desert feel.

I sketched up the layout and played around with it a bit before I made this foundation piece from sheet and strip styrene. It'll get glued down to a piece of foam to give some presence and height to the final display. Lots more work to do on the base, but I think this little project is coming along nicely.

Happy modeling!

After nearly cutting my fingers off using a razor to remove prints, I made a simple jig to hold the build plate without putting pressure on leveling bolt.

Edit:
I think the reason I have so much trouble removing parts is because I'm printing flat mechanical parts (gears etc) directly on the plate, no supports or rafts to help removal. I need to use a razor to reduce damage. Probably have the bottom layer exposure too high also.

Am i suppose to move the build plate to the Home position before starting a print? I had it all the way up (where it moved to at the end of the last print), but it didnt move after starting. Sadly i didnt notice until now. So a little extra work to clean, but what ever.

Anyone have good exposure times for Elegoo Maroon? It’s not in the spreadsheet. It stuck to the FEP, so I’m thinking my times are off. Thanks.

I had my first print of elegoo grey fail at I think it was 40 seconds base exposure, everything was on the fep, but a 2nd attempt with 60 seems to have dialed it in.

I'm talking about grey though just to be clear. I haven't tried maroon, but if you started with a similarly low exposure, you might try 60 as well.
