Hey everyone.

I want to spoil my Photon with some upgrades and I plan to start with the genius PTC Heater Unit by Vinicius Silva .

I have chased down the PTC Heater and the Thermostat on Amazon, but I'm not sure what sort of PSU to get.

I know that Silva and those who have built it recommend a 12V 10+A 120W unit, but here's my thinking.

These PTC heaters are meant to warm up cars in cold climates, right?

I have my printer indoors, so I just need to bump up the temperature a few degrees to a more ideal 24-30 °C.

Shouldn't I be able to reach the needed temperatures with a weaker power source?

The Youtube clip below mentions that it works just fine with a 12V 5A power supply as the 12V 100W PTC heater only needs to work at a 50W capacity to reach the desired temperature inside the printer.

What do you think?

If it's not obvious from my post, I'm asking as I'm quite clueless when it comes to electricity....

Need some help. Printer stopped printing but on the little screen it was still going as though it was still printing but the build plate was not moving. After removing the resin vat and taking the build plate off I turned off the printer removed my usb stick let it sit for about 10 mins. Turned the printer back on and tried to raise the build plate back to the top but it would not budge. Also ran a LCD screen test and nothing was showing up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Chitubox help please.... just trying to add supports for my first model attempt, when viewing from underneath it previously had red areas showing where supports are required, however today i am doing all the same things but no red areas show????? Cant seem to get this working again , any ideas??

Had my anycubic photon zero for a week. Last 2 prints failed and resin hardened at strange places. Tried the uv test and now the screen acts strange?

Does anyone have any recommendations on z height for printing miniatures? I've just been using defaults from prussa slicer.. They work fine but they're a little close to the base and can be annoying to get pliers in there to remove supports. Is it worth the xtra resin?

Anyone else having a problem with the SMELL of IPA mixed with resin? It is super "sweet" and makes me a bit queasy. The RESIN smell itself doesn't bother me, but the smell of used IPA does. Plus I spilled a bit with a funnel accident trying to strain out cured resin bits from the IPA. I may have to toss all my containers, and keep clean that room to get rid of the smell.
