Nathan Kopp thanks for the swift reply, they look great. I usually print at 0.04, probably not worth switching for any time it might save would likely be minimal.

The best thing about Hero Quest is the tiny furniture. I, in fact, am replacing all of the furniture in my home with hero quest furniture.

And a nice cat to claim the box when you're done with it lol. Mine does the same thing. Whenever I get something that comes in a box I always have to leave the Box on the floor for a couple of days for the cat.

Jeffery Nelson Siraya blu and anycubic white had pretty different settings, ended up with disastrous results the last time I accidentally used the wrong settings.

That will give it an ample amount of time to finish dripping excess resin that would otherwise be washed away.

Cory, I leave prints on the plate all the time, for hours with no problem. They only thing I would be worried about would be if sunlight was shining on it.

What's your bottom layer exposure?

Raise base layer time, too low ambient temperature?

Exposure level would be the next adjustment. also temp of the room and making sure the resin is mixed before starting the print

Its inside so it shouldn't be ambient temperature I'd think, but I hadn't thought of mixing the resin between prints, I did shake the bottle before adding more though

Yeah I'm seeing people having their bottom exposures really high, I was just going off what I saw on the google doc,

I'd suggest taking the build plate apart and cleaning the ball joint. Resin in there makes it super easy for the plate to shift during printing. Which looks like what you have.

What should I clean it with? And how can I tell for certain if that's the case, it seems to be level and I haven't had any issues with it before

Use whatever you use to clean your prints. I use IPA.

You can put the plate back on, without the vat, and check the level with a piece of paper. See if all 4 corners have the same resistance. If they do, you're good. If not, take that sucker apart. It's easy, and only takes a few minutes.

If you fill the resin above the top of the plate with the 4 head heads showing, then you have resin in your ball joint.

Maybe adjust closer your first layer height can help too

Sometimes when you tighten up the ball it moves slightly to one side, in the rare occasions I have to level I have to hold down the right side of the plate when I tighten. It looks like the side that lifted is slightly higher than the other

I usually don’t chime in much anymore but I got the photon when it first came out full price. I was one of the first to take out the glass and print directly on the lcd with the wanhao and also modified my photon to do the same. I wanted better resolut ion at the time and the resins available weren’t as good as they are now since I used it for jewelry. Now two years later there are so many resins out. I’ve ran into every problem you can think of few years back. I agree with one of the comments wiping down with alcohol after every print. But also taking a razor blade to create slashes like this in all directions. It gives the resin exposure time to sink into the base and stick. Of course that would depend on your resin etc. hope that helps. Another thing about the photon is that the z is kind of at an angle when it goes up and down even after calibration. I upgraded mine using this

I’m not sure if Bluecast still carries the kit. But it’s helped with the z wobble for the table. Calibration is the best it’ll get to 0

Just upped my exposure time and checked the print after a bit and it seems to be sticking just fine now, I'll know for sure in a few hours when its done

I started cleaning my build plate with acetone between builds. That seemed to help

You have large flat surfaces parallel to the build plate. That means it submerges, resin goes over the top, and then it tries to pull out and all that thick liquid resin on top of the print has nowhere to go. Which means it is pulling all that resin out, doubling or tripling the weight of the print.

Tilt your model. Don't have big flat surfaces pointing at the build plate.

How cold is the room you are printing in? Cold is really bad for making prints peal like that

This started happening about a week before my LCD started going out on me. Next will be crazy layers. just printing in non-model areas. It really sucked. I had to replace the LCD.

I know you said that the build plate is leveled relative to the screen, but is the whole printer level? I found that the printer needs to be pretty close to level for best results.

That’s the resin collecting in the bottom.

That is the resin separating from the IPA. Seal the bucket and set it in the sun or under a UV for for a while. You can strain it through a coffee filter and what comes out will be good as new.

At first sight this picture gave me unconfortable flashbacks i wish i could remove with isopropyl alchool too :(

But yeah putting it in a sealed bucket and under UV light for a while is what I do to re-use the alchool. Less waste, more money saved and less pollution ;)

No it works, just cap the container and set the whole thing outside to get some sunlight that should make the resin colleted solid to get rid of

Milton Farfán Salazar Yes. The resin doesn't actually mix with the IPA at all, just kinda breaks it down until it reconstitutes. You will still have discoloration after you strain the resin out, but it doesn't affect the cleaning. I have several tub s of IPA that I cycle through so one can clean while the others work. I'd say a volume that size can last maybe a week between cleaning. And depending how dirty the IPA is, you might need to filter it a couple times or use multiple coffee filters, but those are still a lot cheaper than new IPA.

LOL sounds like my computer box, I know what the issue is with my computer a faulty fan, when I whack it the fan doesn't make a noise, sometimes it starts to whine and vibrate so it gets another whack.
