Hi guys, I've printed a super hero Bust for a friend.He had the model send it, i just hollowed it and printed.
I made lots of classic Errors here on this print.
Its my 3rd print
1. I Hollowed but made no escape holes thinking that it would drain out and only trapping a little bit in the head, wrong :-) it trapped resin everywhere.
2. Printed directly from the base, no supports no inclination

I have a lot of layers highly visible including what it looks like 2 major layer shifts

I read a lot from this forum so i will prepare the print better next time.

I thing i will hollow it better including a full hole at the base, not sure if i would make extra holes without breaking the model.

Not sure if it needs inclination and supports..

But I will hear your advice while preparing the model to print late in the day.

So have asked Anycubic where and how do i activate the resin run out feature in my printer as it's advertised.

Nothing not even a response to say we fucked up our bad it doesn't have it.
Under Australian law quite sure i can request a full refund as the machine is not as described.
Am i the only one feed up with their lack of transparency and the fact they dont correct anything.
Machines still have wrong slicers listed with no explanation to new users or customers what they need to do.

Will add once you get past all the barriers that come with the machine for no good reason it prints wonderfully.

As other machines get just as good and just as cheap i think they'll find sales slowing down to point they need a sale every 2 weeks just to sell them.

Think twice about getting one as there is other machines on the market now.

Looked around didn't see a direct answer om. This. In a resin printer. If you print overnight. In the am is it too late to post process in ipa.? Will resin cure on plate and tank? Indoors 70 degrees F and lights off.

Hey guys, had my photon a little over a month now and it has started making a pop sound during the retract phase when it gets to the top of its 5 mm lift height, well after the fep pops. It only does it on the 8 base layers. Is something wrong w my stepper motor? Maybe some resin in the z axis thread? What do yall think?

New type of Resin: Anycubic Grey, new exposure settings, and trying a new method to do supports on minis (Meshmixer).

Needless to say, here are 8 different minis that all failed one way or another (the pixie's lower wings snapped off...) lots of flat arm Syndrome. But the details look amazing! Not sure if I will need to adjust exposure settings or just get better at placing supports.

Base sticks to the build plate but rest of the print breaks off and sticks to the FEP
Hello all!
I've been having issues lately with my Photon and I can't figure out what's going on with it. It was printing great but it suddenly stopped working. The base of my prints sticks to the build plate, but once it starts with the support material it gets stuck to the FEP. I tried releveling and discovered my plate was a bit wobbly, so I changed all screws with new ones (the ones it had were shreared off!) and leveled it with the paper (and flint read) method, but it does the same. I changed the FEP, since it was a bit cloudy and scratched up, but same thing happens. My room is at 20ºC, the resin is new (and stirred!) and I've re-leveled so may times I'm going crazy with it. I printed the exposure test (since it's a big piece it doesn't break off) and I'm printing at 18sec exposure (115s bottom, 8 layers, 0.05mm) . I tried 20 but same results. Resin is Anycubic Grey Any help will be greatly appreciated! 翻譯年糕

Hey all. Wondering if you could help, so I'm new to this printing, set up the printer as the manual said, thought I had the plate levelled and shook my resin. It did have a lot of air bubbles in but this is how its turned out. Is it a levelling issue or something else? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Just added a photon to my snapmaker 1. Their powers combined may not make captain planet but will hopefully take my lamps to the next level. Can't wait to get my resin (stuck in shipping someplace) and see what this can do with a lithophane.

This is my 2nd attempt in removing resin smell from my small work room. The box houses a small blower fan that directs air from a duct going into the printing chamber into a gas mask filter. This removes almost all of the smell and makes it possible to work here while printing ?
