Hi, could use a bit of assistance tonight.

I have 2 Photon printers. I’m trying to print the exact same file on both of them with the exact same settings. One is printing pretty perfectly and the other one is garbage. Settings are Bottom Layers 8, bottom exposure 90, normal exposure 15s.

Resin is Egloo standard gray and it does look like the center of the failed print on the build plate is a little thinner than the areas around it.

Printer is about 6 weeks old. On firmware 4.2.18. Exposure test looks fine. Have tried multiple USB sticks with same result. Could really use an expert eye. Thanks!

Hi, I’ve had a lot of great prints on my Photon but lately they haven’t been as great and I’m hoping the hive mind could give me a few suggestions on how to get the prints back to where they were.

Resin is Egloo Grey

Settings are
Bottom layer exposure 90
Bottom layer # 8
Exposure 15s

I came to these setting my running the exposure test.

Both images have the same settings except the first one also has the Exposure Off at 1 second for some reason. I don’t remember putting that on there but looking back at the file settings I caught that.

First print has a strange line of resin partway through the print. Also looks like some of the parts are chopped in half where this resin line is.

Second print looks (to my untrained eye) like it’s pulling off the build plate uneven. I’ve re-leveled the build plate and will try again on this one. This one does not have the resin off setting. Not sure if I need that or not.

I’m printing indoors so I don’t think temperature is a factor.

Hi, I'm looking to print something on my photon at a higher resolution. Going from a .05 to a .02. As a general rule, how much do you reduce the exposure settings for this sort of change?

This is for a regular Photon

Hi, being the glutton for punishment that I am I decided to save a few dollars per 500ml and switch from Anycubic resin to Elegoo grey resin. With the Anycubic I was getting almost consistent perfect prints and now nothing but crap. I referenced the spreadsheet and changed my settings to:

Bottom Layer count - 8

Exposure time - 9

Bottom Exposure - 100

Any suggestions before I dispose of this Elegoo and switch back to Anycubic?

Hi, I have 2 Photon printers and I decided to upgrade them both to 4.2.18 so that they would hopefully play nice with my USB drives. After the update one of the screens changed colors but one did not. Checked the info screen on the and they both seem to be upgraded. Is this anything to be concerned with?

Hi, anycubic photon started acting weird today. It will throw a memory card error and once I pull it out and put it back in the printer freezes. I have to turn it off and back on again.

Just happened again. Different memory stick.

Hi, lets see everyone's tools that you use to pry your prints off of your Photon build plate? I personally use a standard paint scraper but I've found that if its a large print that takes up much of the build plate that it is a HUGE effort to get it off of it. I'm looking for something easier that I don't have to pry it off and while doing so worry about having to re-level the plate every couple of days.

So have been printing about a month and have my second printer being delivered today. I've been printing so much stuff for other people it will be nice to be able to print for myself again. :)

So PrusaSlicer. I installed it. I have a regular Photon but not sure what to do settings wise with the Prusa software. Anyone got any tips? Looking forward to the Prusa supports as I think 90% of all my printing issues come from poor support placement.
